Big Butterfly Month – 2020
In India, Big Butterfly Month is celebrated from September 5th-30th 2020 by the Butterfly Lovers Community. More than 50 Organizations are part of this Initiative across the country.
In Tamil Nadu, Act for Butterflies, ROAR, Rajapalayam, Salem Nature Society and Pondicherry Nature & Wildlife Forum are joined and hosting events in Tamil Nadu & Pondicherry. Tamil Nadu is a home to estimated 324 species of Butterflies for their occurrence.
Big Butterfly Month is one-month long celebration; main purpose is to create awareness on butterflies and Its Importance. The events are Photography Competition, Videography Competition, Essay – Tamil & English, Poetry Competition: Tamil & English, Painting Competition, Quiz, Butterfly Count in 38 Districts and Butterfly Art from Waste. We are also hosting free webinars, interested Groups, Educational Institutions and NGOs.
